BIRTH DOULA SUPPORT
I believe the birthing experience is magic. It is also deeply vulnerable and asks you reveal some of the most tender parts of who you are. It is my passion to come alongside birthing folks and their families to provide guidance into the depths of the birthing process. The physical, emotional, and spiritual realities of birth are woven together, and it is my job to offer care to all of the messy parts of you - before, during, and after birthing time.
My birth doula services will help you feel deeply supported and empowered to bring your new little one(s) into the world. One of the most powerful aspects of what I can offer you is my presence. No one should ever be alone in the intensity of birth. I’m committed to showing up for each of my clients so that they never feel alone during their experience.
If you believe that we are a good fit, my services include:
One “Meet & Greet” interview – up to 60 minutes to go over my services, get to know you and your birthing partner (if applicable), and spend time together with zero pressure to commit.
Two Prenatal visits (2 hours each) where together, we create a birth preference plan, explore coping and comfort techniques that may work for you, discuss postpartum care plans and talk about any questions or concerns you may have leading up to the birth.
Access to my lending library of books surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum adjustment during our time together.
One visit with you to your weekly care provider appointment from week 38 and up.
24/7 on call support (phone, e-mail, in person) two weeks prior to your due date and two weeks after.
A backup Doula in the instance that unforeseen circumstances or another birth prevents me from getting to you immediately.
Emotional, informational, and physical advocacy, encouragement and unbiased support for your family during your birthing time.
Immediate postpartum support for the first one to two hours of your infant’s life.
One Postpartum visit within your home to help support you as your family transitions into life together! This includes basic lactation support, complimentary sitz herbs, a space for you to process emotions and feelings regarding your birth experience, referrals to local resources upon request, and general support that will help you feel more confident as a new parent.
One “limbo” visit when things feel overwhelming and you need an extra set of hands for one hour in the first month.
*I deeply believe that every person has a right to emotional, physical and psychological support from a Doula. Your financial circumstances should not hinder this. When applicable, I offer a sliding scale.
